A simple stamped metal clip which is used to secure table tops to side rails

If a table top is simply screwed to the frame or rails it is locked to the rails and cannot ???breathe??? with variations in climate. Since there is often no room to move that expansion and contraction must go somewhere and if often causes splitting

When multiple table top fasteners are used, there is the ability to move and the splitting is avoided

To use these clips you simple cut a slot in the rail about 5mm wide and 10-12mm from the top of the rail

The tip of the clip is inserted into the slot and the clip screwed to the underside of the table

The clips accept any #8, #10 or #12 gauge flat head (countersunk) screw
